You can advice your friend to buy Bitcoin and have keep for long term investment because this is the best opportunity and time to buy Bitcoin and keep and when it rise you make your gain. If you want it to faill to the list before you buy, it seems that you want to lose your opportunity in bitcoin investment. Tell your friend to buy and hold till the ending of this year

It easy to say but without explanation on why you needed to hold it for long-term will kick your friend ass each time he experienced more fall than expected, to the point that he might fear the market and instead of holding he will sell it out with huge losses from his initial investment, before recommending something i's better to make your friend realize both possible risk and gains from this industry.
