In the post you quoted, I said Barcelona have enough players to navigate this competition well. This player is expected to be able to contribute well to his team although they seem to be played less often if the main players are not absent. Araujo who is reportedly seriously injured will be replaced by another defender, it is possible that Pique will return to the field to help with defense during Araujo's absence.

Araujo is expected to be out for 6 to 8 weeks which is definitely very difficult for Barcelona in defense.
Pique is still able to play but at his age I would probably prefer Christensen to be brought in as a defender there.
But it's not impossible for Pique to be able to play because despite his unfinished conflict there, Barcelona still need him even if it's only a rotational player.
