That will never come true. It seems like that OP was creating such prediction without even consider the situation in the market. I can even make same prediction for ethereum with higher price than it. Ethereum may able to reach 2k but this may happen once bitcoin will be reaching 30k. I don't even think ethereum can make it alone without the help from bticoin.

altcoins have their own marketcap, so if altcoin season arrives, altcoins including Ethereum will not follow the flow of bitcoin anymore,
even when bitcoin dump ethereum will still be stable and even pump, because indeed altcoin season will change the path of the altcoin itself,
so do not be pessimistic and hold your Ethereum until the end of the year.
