There is no need to give notes to others if you are late and also no need to continue the discussion on the campaign thread if it is not necessary. This campaign is not the same as a bounty campaign in general, so you don't have to make an application again if it says "FULL" in the campaign title, because everyone just needs to wait for the campaign to OPEN again after the first week is over.
