It seems to happen sometimes when the wallet reaches the first block of the "new" wallet, I don't know why. You should try adding network nodes that have the newer wallet version, there's a nice guide with pictures http://www.worldcoinalliance.net/blog/adding-worldcoin-wallet-nodes-guide/ .

We are currently working on a new version of the wallet that won't have these issues. It is taking a bit longer then expected but we want a release that is free from any issues.
