I have given a friend also in the past bitcoin as a gift , but not in His birthday instead i gave Him a gift for him to find chance in learning and investing Bitcoin.

It doesn't matter in which case you give a gift as long as you have good intentions and want to help them, it's appreciated. Like OP's case it's a great gift but for everything to be perfect he should teach her everything about bitcoin. This is also a way for people to access the opportunity where they can earn more money in life, It's more like giving them a fishing rod and teaching them how to fish than just giving them a fish.

Btw, it would be great if OP came back and gave us some updates. Let us know her reaction after receiving bitcoins and will she become a bitcoin investor?

What i mean here is that , giving a gift not as financial help or material , instead a knowledgeable help for everyone we love , because we are talking about future here and not a temporary favor.

Bitcoin is a currency that will be the future for everybody so letting them understand how they must have this? it will be a big help for them.
