True in finance everything is set in equilibrium which we can also apply in gambling. Meaning, if we are winning and get paid, somewhere out there, players are losing thus the funds to pay us is coming from other players that is playing on the platform.

That's the thing, it's rarely or next to impossible as you mentioned maybe there are some that the site allow to withdraw for the sake of enticement, the chance of them trying to play back using their own money is high, another marketing way that gambling site are good at, letting you feel that with free spins or faucets will let you win and when you deposit your own money, things will change and you will find yourself at worse.

Where I would agree on the free spins being too difficult to withdraw because of certain wagering requirements, but I do not think it is a sure loss if we deposit in a casino. After all gambling result is always random that is affected by what we called luck. there are players who experience winning despite of depositing the money to avail the free spin or got interested and play.

All in all, it is not absolute that we will lose after we did our first deposit in a casino and it is not absolute that no one wins from free spins. After all, as stated, gambling result is all random and dependent on our luck.
