Santos is one of the most underrated coaches of our time (or the last decade). And yesterday his plan worked great. I think it was not to change Ronaldo at the end, but to do the opposite, release him after the first half, and start the game at a high pace with high pressure. Who knew that the pressure would be so successful and that Switzerland would not be ready for high speeds. As a result, Ronaldo was released into the phase of the game when it was actually completed and Portugal played to keep the score. I think in the game with Morocco he will be in the first team.
CR7 has a bad attitude towards the others which leads him to be sanctioned in a way or another. There was some tensions between him and the staff but it was resolved tho. I am not sure if he will be picked to play vs Morocco since the beginning but I am pretty sure that he will not play full-time. I wonder where did you find this out? If you read the yellow press (90% of all), you can find out that Ronaldo is the devil in the flesh and we need the second coming of Christ to get rid of him
In fact, most of the players who directly played with him speak of him in a strictly positive way. I think he will play with Morocco from the start and will be replaced at 70-80 minutes when the game is already done.
