I would rather called it as a counter attack strategy , every coach know when they are facing a team that have a better squad they have to go for counter attack strategy in order to keep the chance of winning the game alive which both morocco and croatia have proven it's work!

I don't see a clear defensive did by morocco , just look at when they go for attacking , super explosive attacking especially by boufal , croatia might a bit more to defensive counter attack since even they struggling to play against japan till the last match against brazil yeah it's a bit obvious.

There is some cultures who lacks the ability to perform their duties because sometimes people who is a player do control coaches because of their level in their club so sometimes coach does not know what to do while he knows the best strategies to control the team like Portugal what next Portugal to lose match against Morocco is because of coach assuming Ronaldo play it for the first half it would have been better for them to win and the many people have seen in this community have found out such a rubbish and think that is the cause of Morocco winning Portugal in their Match
