It is good but not enough. It depends on what introduction your friend gave it to you. Not all introduction is correct and good. Sometimes your friend did not understand about Bitcoin and he maybe introduced something not is Bitcoin to you such as Wrapped Bitcoin tokens. They are not Bitcoin.
