While I agree that Martinez led his team to become the World Cup winner, but I still think that Livakovic had more great saves than Martinez. I was sure that Fifa chose the player before the final match.
I tried to find on Fifa's website some official rule about the choice but I couldn't find anything about which match they choose the best goalkeeper: until the semi finals or the finals, so I was in doubt.
If you find any sources, please post here because now I'm very interested.
