I somewhat agree with you, sports betting feels much easier because there are different ways to make money in sports and you're not exactly up against the house edge unlike with all casino games. But still they're not a waste of time though as it just depends on the perspective because not all gamblers prioritize making money.

seems like it will be a personal choice for each gambler. indeed sports betting has a bigger chance of winning compared to casino betting. but every gambler has a skill and hobby preference to bet on any of these bets.
and actually casino betting is not a waste of time because they bet there with various skills or out of curiosity to hone their luck there, not to make money.

but I myself choose both. sometimes i bet on sports betting and if after betting there i while waiting for a win i move on to casino betting to entertain myself in my spare time.
