This is the part where I disagree with many a user here because I see a lot of shitposts that get merited. Meriting posts isn't wholly a quality thing but subjective. It depends on the judgment and mood of whoever is sending the merit. Again, we can be right to say that certain users find it appealing to merit certain users more than others. The reason is best known to themselves. So, don't conclude that everyone who regularly gets merited are all quality posters.
In normal circumstances and the procedures of merit system, merit is only given to someone whom you find it's response worthy to be emulate, so therefore i believe those people who is meriting worthless post or shitpost, cross examine them one after the other you will notice that they are into merit sharing, because no potential forum member will like to give a shitpost or worthless post that have no meaning or not meaningful a merit, either they know each other or it from it's tribe, the methods of giving out merit need to be review because many people is abusing merit system.
