This is really funny to me and surprising at the same time, it is even more amazing when i think of the fact that I've been gambling for about a year now and I've always believed that the more streaks of losses I make while gambling, the more closer I get to entering a winning streaks as well Grin

This is a prove that indeed, we never stop learning, no matter how experienced we think we are, there must be a thing or two we don't know, thanks mate for bringing this to my knowledge, this will help me to gamble with better understanding.

When it comes to probabilities there are two types of events, independent and dependent events, independent events do not affect the probabilities of the next even happening, an example of this is flipping a coin, if you get 10 heads in a row the probabilities of getting heads remain at 50%.

Dependent events affect the probabilities of the next event taking place, an example of this is poker, if I am playing Texas Holdem and I have an Ace and King on my hole cards then 6 cards remain on the deck which allow me to make a pair, 3 Aces and 3 Kings, however if before the flop someone folds with a King and a seven and they accidentally reveal this information then now I know there are only 5 cards which remain on the deck which could allow me to make a pair, 3 Aces and 2 Kings, and this reduces the chances I have of making any pair.
