In my opinion, if such a thing happens, it won't happen all over the world at once. The USA can ban anything on their grounds, but can't force other countries to ban it, especially because countries like China and Russia have conflicting interests with the USA. I once read that VPNs are widely used in China as the citizens there want to take advantage of some American services. I believe if the USA banned crypto mining, China would leave their ban fast, as Bitcoin blockchain still has usages to move capitals between both countries in known and unknown ways.

To come to a common understanding on the ban of cryptocurrency is really not gonna happen in the short or the long term. When it comes to cryptocurrency ban surely there'll be conflicts between China and USA. Another thing among the entire list of countries we can see good number of countries favouring the acceptance and other countries taking a decision against bitcoin. I'm positive on this, because countries that are against bitcoin in the past have begun to regulate and accept bitcoin.
