As an experienced trader, trading with knowledge and skills will mostly end up being successful and profitable, so i dont see it a waste of time knowing it can guarantee profits as long as you do the right trades. And the fact that you are doing what your passion tells you, thats something worthy of our time and is always worth doing. Especially if you do it with high determination and perseverance, the outcome will always be high-yielding and is something that we can somehow be proud of.

As we aim for our desired profits and results, It drives us up on making trading a passion and sometimes it ends up as a career for other person by doing trading full time. Imagine risking a stable life for the thing you want to do, I believe it is passion. Chasing profits is not bad because it is what makes us do trades and getting profits makes us persevere more as those profits are the results of our trading process which is planned a head. The accuracy of a trade also motivates me, and I believe also those successful traders who are regularly making profits from trading.
