You are indeed a lucky person because your father is still with you on earth. I send my sincere greetings to your father. But I think your father started investing in btc towards the end of his life. Even if he had invested few years back he'll be at his 60+ years of age. Even at his 70's he had gained the interest on technology based investment when most of them were thinking of taking rest with what they've earned.
