It will be great to see alot of people be part of the crypto world but I dont think it would be possible to operate cryptocurrency offline without internet connection. Bitcoin is not like fiat currency Bitcoin is decentralized, transactions need to be verified to be recorded on the blockchain and for that miners need to be connected to the internet.

Are you suggesting they make like a card similar to atm cards which is linked to your address where you can carryout transactions?
I dont know what will happen in the future but bitcoin was not created initially to replace fiat, it was just created to serve as a online payment method and also an alternative means for payments. Even if its possible to operate cryptocurrency offline maybe it would be in another generation to come.
