I had so much confidence in Arsenal going into the game and I really think this game would have had a different story if Arteta took advantage by playing his first eleven team in the first leg meeting, Arsenal would have won by a margin and had better advantage over Sporting going into the second leg but they failed to win and Sporting got motivated by the result and returned fully confident in the second leg.

Sometimes I dont understand the reason behind certain things Arteta does. He said the same thing last season and they ended up not making top four. The ideology of not playing your best players in a knockout stage could leave the club trophyless for a longer period. I will still say it again, EPL is not guaranteed but they move on from here. They need to win as much trophies as possible, winning that match inorder to advance in the competition would have been good moral Booster.
Finally someone understands my point, I detest that idea of leaving your best players on the bench and playing with a less stronger team with the idea of saving them for the premier league trophy chase, now Arsenal are out of the Europa league and the premier league is not 100% guaranteed. I really hope he wins the trophy and don't go without a trophy this season.
