Not convinced this needed a new thread with speculation, the other thread with certain facts that emerged was good enough imo (even if a bit long to read).

With my experience in online scam, I want to assure us that there is no new management, it is same people that wants to try a new domain because the former has been successfully demarketed.
No sane entrepreneur will acquire a scam domain and agree to solve all the scams committed with the domain.

The simple answer is, 1xbit1.com is attempting to impersonate 1xbit.com (see feedback) rather than any re-branding attempt:

Hello guys!

The OP's account of this thread has nothing to do with 1xBit in any regards.

The referenced link in profile "1xbit1.com" is apparently a legitimate mirror to 1xbit.com however:

1xbit_official said the address is correct in this quoted post.

Again changed and cant login. Im trying to login in the link 1xbit1.com . Is this link correct?
(1xbit.com) In this one i cant even enter in the web as it says "Error the web cant be displayed)
The address is correct, i've asked my colleague from security to double-check if everything is alright.
There are restrictions placed on your account.

Additionally there was reportedly an extortion attempt made against 1xbit_official, but unable to confirm:

In addition, here are a few messages received from the person:

Furthermore, there is a flag against 1xbit1.com with incorrect reference link just to confuse matter a little further.

I hope that helps summarise the situation regarding the thread and OP you referenced!
