They do hav to do this seriously because going far in Europa League and get a position in top four of Serie A or winning Europa League to be eligible for Champions League 2023 - 2024 (next season) means a lot for Juventus financially. It will help them to have more budget for transfer to rebuild their team. It helps them to avoid departure of star players and together there are big net effects if they can not play in Champions League next season.

They only have two missions in this season, Serie A and Europa League. Chance in Europa League looks better in Serie A when they will have to depend on other club performances. In Europa League, they don't have to rely on other clubs and only need to beat each opponent round by round (quarter final, semi final and final). In Serie A, they need to play well and need luck to join top four and I think they will pay more focus on Europa League.

Beating Sporting Lisbon won't be easy after they surprisingly won over Arsenal. Sporting will have higher confidence after such winning and become a little more dangerous. Juventus must watch videos and analyze weakness of Sporting to beat this opponent who are not easily to give up even after they have conceded goal and disadvantage.
