In my opinion, of the teams that have never won a world cup, it was the one that had the most concrete chances to win since 2010 when Spain won its first title. I believed in Croatia more than Belgium or the Netherlands who were always the most tipped to be first time champions.

For Euro 2024 I also believe they will achieve a great place, at least in the top 4 to bring to a perfect end the generation of Modric and Perisić.
We can't forget that Croatia has already qualified for the final stage of the Nations League, so this could also influence.

Unfortunately I lost the bet, but I know I'm not alone, because it was a huge surprise to see Scotland winning against Spain.
But there's no problem since I'm in profit, I learned a lesson to not believe in Spain for a while.

The Spanish team is interesting. In theory it is a super team, with many stars, new and experienced players in decisive and important games. It won a world cup playing admirably, and there are many ups and downs alternating rapidly.
Some games against stronger teams, Spain dominates the game and wins easily, and in other games against weaker teams, it seems like a different team.
Of course all teams suffer from this, nobody plays every game well, and nobody wins everything, but Spain can't be that consistent, it's more noticeable than in other teams.

The bookies obviously knew what was gonna happen thats why they gave such a big odd and probobly earned the most money on that match. I honestly dont know why Spain went with that lineup but it was just shocking and a big loss for them. It will be intresting in next matches if they can comeback from this loss.
