Because if you had invested then you might have made a lot of profit from that investment now. I think it is important to realize that you may not make a lot of money right away, but you should be still investing anyway. Just because you missed your chance to make more money back in the day, doesn't mean you should be staying away from it neither, you should be focusing on making as much profit as you possibly can.

I know that it is going to take some time before you could make some money, but that doesn't mean that you should avoid it. I personally believe that the best thing to do would be making sure that you end up with some profit when the time comes and for that to happen you need to invest right now. Do not wait for a better time, it will never come and you will never be any better, just invest today if you can afford to.
