In accordance with its customs and religious beliefs, Qatar enforced strict compliance. I surmise there were no ladies from Qatar permitted to watch those matches live. Prior to the start of the matches, beer was also banned. Despite the fact that the event was still a huge success, I doubt it will ever happen again due to the severe restrictions placed.
The upcoming World Cup will make it easier for European and American fans to get in. They may also be able to obtain a visa with ease and cheaper flights. Fans from Africa and Asia will have to travel a long distance in order to watch these matches and obtaining a visa will not be easy.
LOL.. the same lame excuse again and again. Qatar initially promised relaxed rules for the visitors and then they went back on their word. Initially they were saying that beer will be available during the duration of the match. Two days before the tournament started, they suddenly made an announcement that drinks will be available only for the top-tier ticket holders. If religion was the excuse to ban beer, then why the drinks were not banned for everyone? Reason is very simple. Qataris bother only about money and not about religion.
We must accept the fact that they did really well. People are always criticising them for no reason
I would not really agree that we criticize them without reason.
Qatar has been violating the human rights of foreign workers for years, and it has been proven beyond any doubt that many workers on the World Cup stadium construction sites were injured or killed, and most of them worked in inhumane conditions in extreme heat.
There are also serious doubts that they won the hosting of the world cup through corrupt practices.
It is obvious that there are many reasons to criticize FIFA for covering it all up and that the most important thing for them is always only profit.
