The bet on the sports makes it more exciting. Imagine you are watching your favorite team playing and aside from that, you have a bet that your favorite team will win. That scenario is actually an adrenaline pump especially if you are like the person who bet 1m+ for his favorite team.

Well even with suffice experience, sometimes luck plays with you and makes an upset result giving favor to the underdog.

What do you means that there are gamblers that just do it as a hobby? Did you mean the gamblers that just play game for fun and there is no money involved? If that is it, they are not gamblers because gamblers uses money to gamble.

Gold, Silver or anything used to gamble like that are money too. Some people can use other things to gamble too, like property. But gambling with property is stupidity to me.

Well, there are people who plays for fun. They are not entirely for profit but they just want to enjoy their free time playing gambling games regardless of the result. This is called a hobby.
