-snip- installing the Electrum application on macOS simply drags and drops the application file to the Applications folder. Delete the application from the Applications folder to the Trash to Uninstall Electrum.
New applications cannot be installed or copied to the Applications folder while the same software runs.
Thanks, but it still doesn't explain why it works now after uninstalling the old and reinstalling the latest version.
He didn't specified a specific error and there seem to be no issue in his .log file.
Perhaps OP installed multiple instances using "
Keep Both", launched v4.4.1 right after install, that essentially upgraded the wallet file as well. (
then closed that session)
But somehow, he's still using a shortcut to the older version that caused a "
This version of Electrum is too old to open this wallet" error which what he described as "
crash".
