Most young people see crypto as the way to become a bit wealthier some time later. They hope it will bring them financial stability and financial freedom, since there are a lot of problems with fiat money distribution. Children from poor families, as soon as they start living on their own, have actually only two ways: loan in fiat or poverty... That's a pitiful thing, and, unfortunately, this is the basis of capitalists' power over the world.

Plus they have the time on their side as well. When you are 60 years old, you can't just wait for bitcoin to grow, that's not going to be possible within your life span that easily, and you would spend a majority of your remaining life waiting for it to grow. Whereas when you are 20 years old, you could work 20 years to build up more bitcoin and that would be just half of your life gone, you would be wealthy for the other half of your life thanks to bitcoin.

This is the point, one passes away probably as they get wealthy, and can't take advantage of it, the other has half of their life waiting for them and live a rich life. This is why always assume that it would be a good thing to invest into whatever so you could make some profit when you are young.
