KYC is getting mandatory now a day, especially for casinos that are licensed. KYC should be expected when we are playing in a licensed centralized gambling platform. In exchange for the KYC requirement, since the casino is licensed, we are covered by law that can protect us from exploits. I do not mind undergoing KYC especially when the gambling platform is proven to be reputable.

You are exaggerating here. Roobet is a popular and reliable crypto gambling site for sure, but that doesn't automatically imply that they will sweep all the awards since they aren't perfect or anything and have their fair share of issues.

Their biggest issue is mandatory KYC while signing up which chased away many gamblers.

Also, I have never heard of some of the gambling sites that got nominated and many popular sites like Stake, Crypto.Games, Duelbits, Primedice, Rollbit etc are missing.

I agree, they are good but I wouldn't put them at the very top, surely there will be some places that will give them awards, but there will be some other places that give awards to some other casinos as well, and they will bicker about which award was more prestigious and all that.

Awards oftentimes are bought, either by sponsorship or by donations to the rewarding body. I once work in a company and some awarding body came to us and offer us acknowledgment and even top of xxx awards in exchange of the company sponsoring their future endeavors. And from that day, I started to doubt the integrity of the awarding body. So I don't mind if the casino won an award or not as long as my user experience is great.
