They actually still look good with their roster but they will probably let go of Russell. Keep Reaves.
That's the best thing they have to do. Russell is a highly paid player, so they can find someone who is more consistent than him. It doesn't need to be an NBA star; they need someone who can allow the organization to develop their game and who loves to play defense, unlike Russell, who isn't good at defense. Reaves is probably the most consistent player on the Lakers roster, aside from LeBron, as he can really contribute on a nightly basis
Russel became their problem on Nuggets series since he didn't show up some good contribution to help his team. Maybe its good for them to trade him and find more better wing that can help then on offense and defense. For sure they can get more better as Russel still have a value as a player.
But even though Lakers has been sweep by denver we can still commend these guys for giving a good fight with nuggets they didn't give up and show their heart they should bounce back next season since they still have that rooster which can help them to get another championship run next season.
Russell was not able to prove his worth. With a player earning a big salary, he should excel in tougher competition like the conference finals. However, look who's showing up—it's Reaves, as he continues to be more consistent and has contributed to the Lakers' ability to be at least competitive. Well, it's over now. The Nuggets have already advanced to the NBA Finals, awaiting the winner of the Heat vs Celtics series.
I'm guessing if the Heat advance, the odds will be 3/1 in favor of the Nuggets, providing good value for Heat fans.
Yeah, I think Russell was no where to be found in this series against the Nuggets. I thought that we will be a big impact because no one from the Nuggets can easily guard him. But I guess he doesn't have that mentally.
In this game they build a good lead and we can see that Lebron was doing everything he can specially in the first two quarters.
And I thought that this will be a win for them, didn't see the 3rd quarter, but as soon as the Nuggets takes that lead, it was over as the Lakers was broken down mentally.
