This winning streak augurs well for Dortmund as they take on Mainz a team that may not present as much of a challenge. But it is crucial to remember that Bayern Munich final game of the year is against Koln. It would be naive to presume that Munich would falter against Koln despite their inconsistent results. It will be interesting to watch how the Bundesliga season plays out to see if Dortmund can take this chance and possibly weaken Munich grip on the league.

After losing the champions league against Manchester City with a bad result, Bayern Munich lost motivation and they don't seem to be in a good place, and maybe that's why they lost points in the Bundesliga after losing the champions league.

Bayern Munich will be able to win Koln and Dortmund will be able to win Mainz, you have to bet on these two outcomes, what I don't knownis what the odds set by bookmakers look like. Both Koln and Mainz are somewhere in the middle of the table, this means that they are not fighting for European competition spot and as well they are not fighting for relegation, so they have no reason to be very resilience in that match. So, the energy will be with Bayern Munich and Dortmund.

In fact, if Dortmund wins the game, that's not important if Bayern Munich beat Koln today or not because Dortmund can beat Mainz and win the Bundesliga title. The reason why Dortmund is winning this season is because of the unstable performance of Bayern Munich and the unstable coaches they had during this season.
