You need to analyze situation and take your own decision. There are many reasons to buy bitcoin. You should to know for what you want it(increase your income and future financial freedom, invest money for not to keep at home or in the bank or you want to have a currency without inflation in the future etc.)
If you want to invest - analyze, think about and be patient
If you aren't ready - forget about it. It's up to you

If op is looking for someone that will convince him why he should buy bitcoin, that means he is not ready to get enlightened. The Internet is enough to get first hand information about bitcoin if he really wants to know the real benefits of bitcoin. It seems he was not satisfied with the introduction given to him. A proper research will give one a good reason to invest in bitcoin and in the proper way, investing in Bitcoin needs good understanding and it is not an investment to become rich quick but an investment to help people financially free.
