Then talking about faith, yes as a believe you ought to have faith but then faith without work is dead according to the Holy book in James 2:17-26.

Believers are Christians because they Believe in God, because Jesus Christ is God along with His Father and the Holy Spirit.

Formal religions are simply people coming together to clarify what they believe about God and how His Word applies to their life. They also form religions to strengthen each other in times of trials and troubles. Even religions that don't believe in God are there so that the people learn how to live together better.

Faith without works is dead as James says. But that is true in everything in life. People don't do things when they don't believe that there will be a result. But when they believe something, they automatically do what they believe.

Romans 14:23:

While it is true that some people partake of a religion, yet don't believe, most people believe in the things of their religion. If their religion is a Christian religion, they believe in Jesus Christ. Some of the things they believe about Jesus are probably incorrect, but other things are correct. Nobody knows everything about Jesus accurately.

I think not every believer is a Christian like you think,because the Muslims belive in God which they call Allah but are not Christians, even the traditionalist believe their is a supreme being which is the maker of the heaven and earth they glorify him before saying their incantations and liabate to their gods but yet they ain't Christians, yes Christianity is a belief but the word Christian means Christ like, they pray believing in God through Jesus christ as well, so all religion believe in God but not all religions are Christians

So we are talking two different things. A person can believe that the asteroid belt exists between Mars and Jupiter. He can believe it because some scientists said it exists, not because he has ever seen it through a telescope. He is a believer, but I thought we were talking about believers in God.

James says a kind of interesting thing in the Bible, James 2:19:

If a person believes in God, He is believing in Jesus without knowing it. If he believes that Jesus isn't God with the Father and the Holy Spirit, he is believing in an idol as though it were God. No two ways about it..

Take your pick. Either a believer in God is a Christian and knows it, or he is a Christian and doesn't realize that he is, or he is an idol worshiper but not a God worshiper.
