You can buy that type of services anywhere, not only on the forum, and exactly for that reason voting on Discord is totally pointless, you just need to tell your friends to vote for you or buy the votes, that's it. But again, what's the point of the contest then? Awarding the best pizza or awarding the best cheater? I can submit a salad (like someone did), buy 1k votes and the best pizza would be a salad. Does that make any sense?
Exactly, votes could be bought and it wouldn't be fair for anyone else participating in the contest and this could happen in Discord, the forum, or any other platform where the contest is held.. To overcome this issue, I suggest that not everyone should be allowed to vote in the contest. Instead, only trusted moderators and participants in the contest should have voting, excluding anyone outside this circle.
The vote could be cheated by the alt account, I see many new discord members joined there with I assume prepare to vote!.
We know, ex-bounty cheated still here and being camouflage in contests, signatures, and games.
