The defeat with a score of 1-3 meant that Auxerre had to be relegated this season and the win on the road made Lens finally finish in 2nd place in the standings. It seems that this is not the result that Auxerre wanted, especially in the decisive match at the end of the season they had to face a fairly strong team, namely Lens. In this match it was also seen that Lens was merciless no matter who his opponent was and in fact Lens had locked his victory in the first half by winning two goals.

Auxerre had caught up in the second half through one goal they scored, but it seems that the number of goals they have to pay is still lacking. The closing goal from Lens was scored by Loïs Openda in the 78th minute and closed the victory for Lens. Auxerre must be willing to be relegated this season along with other teams such as Ajaccio, Troyes and Angers.
Lens are a surprising team in Ligue 1.
Apart from the results in the last match against Auxerre which made Auxerre have to be relegated because he was defeated by Lens behind the hopes of surviving in Ligue 1.

25 wins, 4 losses and 9 draws in 38 matches are the extraordinary results achieved by Lens including being able to make 68 goals.
As we all know, Lens is not a club that has well-known players registered in the squad like PSG, but they were able to occupy second place in the final standings with 84 points, only 1 point different from PSG as the Ligue 1 champions this season.

In addition, Lens is a club that has frequently gone up and down from Ligue 2 to Ligue 1 since the 2010/2011 season and for this season's achievements they will automatically compete in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Lens team is really playing better than PSG if you want to compare the players. If not for the PSG team, the Lens team would have been ahead in the race to secure the title. I think Lens can add some new players to the team next season to keep the League One title in their hands.
