The project could figure out a way to disburse dividends to the coin holders, or the team could simply use it to fund their development. I know there are becoming more and more scripts for sale for launching an exchange, so it might be worth it to tailor and brand an exchange script for that specific purpose. It'd be neat to see for sure.
