when compared with age, $100 million is too expensive for old players but maybe they saw something in Harry Kane considered capable of replacing Benzema
remember that Harry Kane is 2nd in premier league top scorers 6 goals behind Haaland which means the ability is still feasible for at least the next 2 seasons.

Real Madrid thought that Harry Kane is someone that actually will perform really well as the main striker. After all, he has proved himself in the English Premier League. That it is not going to be a big problem for him to actually performed in the La Liga as well. It is actually a little surprising to see Real Madrid prioritizing experience over youth. Especially in this era where fast paced football is much more trending.
