I think Real Madrid squad are competitive enough but they can not stay silently in the transfer market and think with available players, they will win La Liga next season. Barcelona won La Liga in this season and they will become stronger in a new season. With this logic, Real Madrid will have more tasks to do in the summer than Barcelona.

Barcelona are not perfect and their weaknesses can be exploited too that is proven by some clubs in Champions League and Manchester United in Europa League play-off matches. Tasks for Real Madrid are improving themselves to win more matches in a new La Liga season and try to beat Barcelona in El Classico.

The Barcelona team that won the league this season was struggling to the point that they found themselves in the Europe league where they couldn't even find it easy to compete. I don't or should I say I never saw Barcelona winning the league this season with what Madrid have as their starting 11 and on the bench as well but they messed up the chances they (Real Madrid) had to be at the top over Barcelona.
Madrid was in good form but I couldn't tell what happened to a team that's good and suddenly they went off color. I felt bad for them (Madrid) not to give Barcelona that hard time to be crowned Champions at least delay their celebration.

if you look at the Real Madrid team this season, it is not much different from last season when they won the La Liga and UCL titles, but this season they have only been inconsistent so that this has been put to good use by Barcelona to be able to win La Liga this season.
but what you need to know is that the Real Madrid team will improve next season, this team has a lot of money and they will always be able to recover when they fall behind other teams like it happened in the past.
now Real Madrid is being rumored with several new players and I'm sure they will spend a lot of players this season.
