You know, sometimes, maybe hardly ever, some people tend to lose self-control after getting into things like gambling or having drugs and doing other stuff that is addictive, they basically aren't that way but when they get involved and their minds get trapped, they find it difficult to get out after that and they lose the ability to control themselves or their mind, with some help from others, they might be able to get out of their addictions though.

I generally feel bad for people who get addicted to things and find it difficult to stop doing that thing, I've seen people who wish to leave their addictions but they say that it is not possible now because when they try, it almost becomes like a matter of life and death for them.

It's easy to get carried away and lose track of time when engaging in enjoyable and immersive experiences because they are made exactly for the purpose of keeping you engaged and not aware of time or other considerations.
