Marseille has been slipped at the end of the league and they were lost so many points because in the last 5 matches in Ligue 1 Marseille only able to collect 3 points and this also caused Lens can overtake 2nd place and finish at that position and a bit dissapoint for Marseille because they have to playing at champion league through an qualification matches but next season Marseille will be so different than now especially they will have new manager because after Igor Tudor departure from this team Marseille owner immediatelly will look for new manager and several names has been linked to them but the former of River Plate manager Marcelo Gallardo possibly will being an new manager and lets see how will he handle this team later

It is terrible to see Marseille lose significant points and drifting towards the bottom of the table. They have played poorly only managing to pick up three points in their last five Ligue 1 games. This made it possible for Lens to pass them and take over second place. Marseille may be feeling a little discouraged because they will now have to play in Champions League qualifying games. There is however optimism for progress because a new manager will soon be in place. The owner of Marseille is aggressively looking for a replacement after Igor Tudor left and Marcelo Gallardo the former head coach of River Plate is one candidate that has surfaced. The team shape and direction for the upcoming season under Gallardo will be interesting to watch.
