It is difficult to forecast with precision if bitcoin will replace traditional currencies. Bitcoin will never replace the traditional fiat currency. As stated on most of the reply, the government will never allow it. And we all know the government specifically the central bank has the authority on financial matters. Central banks may acknowledge Bitcoin as currency but the most Bitcoin can get is to be an alternative currency, to be used in the absence of the availability of the main currency. Bitcoin is great but alas it will never take over the finance system because it is not created by the government.
