I'm sorry I can't help but clown on you guys. I feel like none of you have ever left your homes. If it's so dangerous to go outside and trade bitcoin because someone will rob you at gun point, the area you live in is just too dangerous to live in full stop and you have bigger problems.
The thing is people see Bitcoin as an investment and it mostly related with rich people, if they know you're a Bitcoin holder, it's mean they define you're a rich person. If Bitcoin already reach the global adoption and they know not always a rich person can own Bitcoin, that's when discussing Bitcoin is safe. It's like we already know everyone has money, they have phone, car etc.
Crime is everywhere especially on a third world countries e.g. Nigeria and India.
yeah but your meeting just other bitcoiners in a public place in the busiest area of the city, your not street preaching how many sats you own in the hood. Its just a small gathering of people doing the same thing as you.
I see what your saying. If your living in a third world country sure you ought to be careful. But this is a meetup for Sydney, Australia, not Haiti.
