I can't even say which of the categories of addiction is more worse than each other for someone to be an addicted gambler, a chronic alcoholic and drugs addict and many other forms of addiction that could be of disadvantage to us and our entire live with assets, addiction is generally believed to be uneasy to end and the only advantage there is to avoid them by not getting started than finding a means to control them when they have gone out of hands.

The reason for gambling is not to even have money or make money through it, we gamble to have fun and it creates friendliness among the people, it makes people have a course to relate well with each other and have pleasure in doing it, gambling is what brought diverse opportunities for the people to enjoy through the process and make money from doing so and violence with abuse is not part of the purpose created for gambling.

You said "we" but the point that is being made in this thread also is that there is no "we". Everyone treats gambling differently, or the problem is that gambling treats some people differently and not the other way around because gambling takes control of them. That is the problem. I believe that people who tend to have issues with drugs or alcohol also would tend to have issues with gambling as the dopamine that is set free through these activities is similar as far as I know. I am not an expert but I think I remember some research saying that there are similarities. That is why the question whether it is easy or hard to quit differs from person to person. If gambling releases dopamine fireworks in one brain but not in the other brain, the person with dopamine fireworks probably has a harder time to quit.
