They probably had all the pressure on their shoulders that they couldn't carry it. I know that everyone truly expected them to win it, but just like how Bayern offered them the chance to win a game prior, they also gave it back. Everyone talks about how Dortmund lost the title on the last game, but nobody really talks about how Bayern was ahead until then and gave the chance to Dortmund to win as well, basically Bayern did the same thing Dortmund did but they had time to recover and wait for Dortmund to lose and get it back.

If Dortmund won, that means Bayern would have been the one we talk about like this. Of course Bayern won 10+ in a row so it looks like they are going to be fine if they ever lose, whereas Dortmund hasn't won in over a decade so they really wanted it more.

The last Bundesliga season had its share of thrills and unexpected turns. Union Berlin performed admirably however it appears that there was a miscommunication when they won the Champions League. Union berlin had not achieved Champions League qualification as of the knowledge cutoff in September 2021. Their noteworthy performance and competitive race against established powerhouses like Dortmund and Bayern munich though demonstrated their potential. This impressive performance might act as a motivator for Union Berlin to become even more inspired and motivated for the following seasons. Union berlin may have bigger ambitions and strive For even greater accomplishments in the future whether in domestic contests or possibly in European tournaments with the taste of victory and the experience gained.
