what Inter need to do is provide opportunities for Marcus Thuram to be an investment in the future, as a young player he still has a chance. I think the decision to bring in Marcus Thuram is an option if Inter fail to bring Lukaku back because indeed the agreement to get Lukaku has been away IMO.

Now, Inter have Marcus Thuram and thus, will Inter still plan to sign Lukaku with the many problems he is having at this moment. I personally am really not completely sure though, indeed, the chance for Lukaku to return to Inter is still open but I think the chance is very low. But yes, if Lukaku returns to play at Inter next season, then surely Inter will have good quality players in their attack for both main players and substitute players.

I'm not really sure either, but it would be nice if Inter have Lukaku, and of course they will have good options substitute in attack if someone get injured. Chelsea are also rumored not to want Lukaku, and they are opening opportunities for other clubs to have the player, including Saudi clubs. Maybe Lukaku will also insist on playing for Inter Milan because he can play in the highest Europa caste, I mean UCL and no wonder Lukaku wants to play for Inter again rather than Chelsea.
