selling assset means that you are ending the way from which you earn money which is not a good idea and one more thing is that if you are selling your asset and that time the price is not appreciable then you will face loss which is also not a good idea. Selling assets for investment is the worst idea I have ever seen, many people are trying to increase their income and buy as many assets as possible while we are trying to sell them. OP's question is a bit confusing to me, it's like, how can we make more money? If we want to make more money besides working hard, I don't think there is a second way. Only when we work hard, earn extra income, and use that money to invest will our wealth increase.

I can only remember that selling assets would be the last resort if the company was going bankrupt just to save it. Selling assets should be the last resort in an emergency, but I have never sold them for other reasons. Probably the OP sold them because he saw a positive outcome on his business, which is why he added more money or capital to them when they sold their properties. I am not sure if this is a good move, but it is very risky, though still doable when we are risk takers.
