Hey bro, Blockchain is the technology or the network. Whereas what you mean by ETH coins, BNB, MATIC etc. are Altcoins which of course will be more risky due to high fluctuations influenced by Bitcoin. A good investment for the long term is Bitcoin, Altcoin is an optional choice. You say Blockchain means there are multiple networks or chains which will be different like ETH with Ethereum network, BNB with Binance network and Matic with Polygon network.
Don't put too much trust in Altcoins which are still quite vulnerable to going down because of the state of Bitcoin and prices will not always increase.
