Law also says that they can sell him to another club, of course you need Mbappe to agree to that, but they do not have any type of responsibility to keep him, and that means they can just sell him if they want to. In this case, if Real really wants him then PSG could sell him to Real Madrid even this season, so instead of having him for free next season, they will have him one more season.

Of course why spend that much money for just one more season, but that's the risk you take, otherwise he can sign with someone else next season as well, if offered more money. I believe that we are going to see Mbappe stay at PSG one more season for sure, not going to be a simple thing but it will most probably happen and should be a problem all year long.
