The Bayern board has no intention of retaining Sadio Mane at the club; they wish to sell the Senegal international, most likely next season, because he is extremely violent and has been involved in multiple physical fights with his teammates, including injuring Leroy Sané.

Last summer, Klopp expressed his desire for Sadio Mané to remain at Liverpool. However, despite the coach's wishes, Mané insisted on leaving.
