Inter intended to make a permanent move for Lukaku, but an agreement was not reached as Chelsea wanted a higher value than what Inter was offering. The inclusion of another team in the Lukaku transfer saga is also the reason why Inter are no longer serious about making Lukaku permanent, that's probably because other teams are willing to pay Chelsea more than the value offered by Inter.
Of course this is the fate Lukaku has had to endure right now after he really wants to stay at Inter next season. Lukaku will be with Chelsea next season although Pochettino has not included him in his list of plans for next season. Lukaku is potentially for sale, but probably not in the current transfer window.
I think Chelsea will sell Lukaku in this transfer window and for sure they will look for the right team for Lukaku Next career. On the one hand, Pochettino did not even include Lukaku name on this pre-season tour, because Lukaku is not a big plan for Pochettino next season. Lukaku future status is a big question mark because he is still having trouble finding a club that really wants to sign him from Chelsea.
Lukaku unsatisfactory performance has made him less attractive to big teams other than teams in from Serie A. And the relatively high price has made a number of teams reluctant to submit their bids to Chelsea. We will see Juventus as a team that is currently associated with Lukaku. Are they really serious about recruiting him or not.
