And for support, you are right. You need to talk with your wife or with a close friend. They will definitely warn you if they notice any addiction signs.

Having someone you can confide in during difficult times is invaluable, and talking to your wife or a close friend about your situation can indeed provide insights and support. It's essential to have a support system that can help you recognize and address any potential addiction signs.

Remember that addiction is a complex and sensitive matter that requires understanding and empathy. If you notice any signs of addiction in yourself or someone you know, reaching out for professional help and guidance is crucial. There are various resources available, including counseling and support groups, that can assist in overcoming addiction challenges.
All what you say is true but at the same time talking about having some addiction issues is still very difficult for most people, so even if they have the support network which could help them to overcome those problems while they are just appearing, many of those people prefer to wait and try to solve things on their own.

And only once they have exhausted all the methods they can think of then they will look for help, but by the time they do it their addiction is so bad that even such a support network will have a massive challenge trying to help them.
